About Me
My name is James Aronson, and I completed my BS in Mechanical Engineering at Tufts University based in Medford, Ma (just outside of Boston). I am now pursuing an MS in Innovation and Management at Tufts University and will graduate in the Fall of 2019.
Engineering is my avenue to create. Recognizing this, I have sought out opportunities that foster innovation and encourage growth. During the Fall of 2017, I worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Piaggio Fast Forward, a robotics startup pioneering lightweight transportation and enhancing human mobility. Since then, I have become more focused on my own ventures. Overall, through these experiences, I have found that I enjoy both the fast pace and variety of challenges surrounding startups. Having now stepped into the intersection of business and engineering, I am currently leveraging my technical skills and early stage venture experience to develop and launch new products and businesses in industries ranging from assistive technology and robotics to consumer goods and outdoor equipment. outside interests
In addition to my activities in engineering and business, my desire to continuously learn and need to challenge myself has inspired a variety of interests. During my undergrad, I competed as a thrower for the Tufts Track and Field team. I am exploring to find my next source of athletic competition. If I’m not in the Boston area, I can likely be found hiking, camping, and canoeing throughout the Northeast. Last year, I reached my fundraising goals for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mass Bay and hiked Kilimanjaro as part of Choose a Challenge. This May, I led a group of Tufts students on a trek to Everest Base Camp as we fundraised over $45k for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Other interests include poetry, photography, and a desire to learn my family's native Italian. Some of this can be seen on my Instagram
